The Responsibility of the National Trust 

The trustees are the legal owners of property in a will trust.

A trustee is responsible for managing the assets in the trust and fulfilling the purpose of the Trust….

 

Or

Trustees are responsible for safeguarding the trust assets and ensuring their proper management. They must exercise due diligence in maintaining the assets, protecting them from loss and taking appropriate steps to preserve their value.

If property is put in trust, it is the personal responsibility of the trustees of that Trust to maintain the property in the Trust.

 

This will involve maintaining the structure and exterior, and the fixtures and fittings including pipes, wiring and appliances.
